A strange boy named Bonchkabooski, better known as 'Boo' was lonely. People thought he was strange because his behavior was viewed as far from ordinary. He liked to keep to himself, talk to the trees, dance with the rain, and play with the wind. Boo didn’t keep his distance from people; people kept their distance from him. He wouldn’t have minded a friend, but no one seemed to want to volunteer for the job. Boo had an idea though.
A geology scavenger hunt hosted by the Society of People Who Hunt for Rocks, or SPWHR. Immediate membership in the society was being offered to the winner. Of course, Boo knew that a ‘society’ meant a group of people and groups of people means friendship. If he could just win this contest, Boo would have friends!
Join Boo and the characters he meets along the way in his quest for the perfect rock and the perfect group of friends. After a rough start, Boo slowly learns that a dark creature is his worst enemy. Not only must Boo confront crushing loneliness, he must face his fears and invent ways to survive the invasion from a shadowy figure. Can Boo's arrogance and stubbornness aid in his survival or will he succumb to a disheartening quest?
